Gerald Shepherd: The Back Of Paintings

I write, draw or paint on the back of many of my pictures, sometimes intentionally and sometimes not.  Here are three examples, one of which I did as an art statement although many years ago (1981-1982).

  1. Very cool…the backs of my paintings always look like a messy Italian kitchen. 😉

    • Ha ha, do they. I tend to do that to my clothes and occasionally the dog et al or furniture/household items. The telephone is a good one; that usually generates a lively response from my wife!
